Ownership of Activate Architecture (Pty) Ltd is structured to address the objectives of the DTI Construction Sector Amended Codes and is currently 52% Black owned business. In terms of the Codes, Activate Architecture (Pty) Ltd is measured as a Built Environment Professional (BEP) firm and eligible for enhanced recognition as a Level 2 service provider. Skills Development also remains a key strategic investment and to this end Activate was instrumental in setting up the Ikusasa Skill Development Trust in 2008. Ikusasa is focused on tertiary education and mentorship for black South African woman pursuing careers in the field of sustainable urban and rural built environment. Activate focuses on beneficiaries studying in the field of green architecture and Ikusasa is also a minority shareholder on the activate ownership structure. |
